Jacksons's prize, Young Collectors and some sketchbook pages

A quick update - more soon. The etching below from my "at the midsummer fair" series has been getting around a bit. It's been "longlisted" for the Jackson's Art Prize, which is a big (15,000 entries I think they said?) annual visual arts prize. The shortlist is anounced on the 12th April, but in the meantime there is a public vote for a "people's choice" award - you can vote here (it's a bit of a faff though so no pressure).

It's also one of a few prints I have with the current Young Collectors show. Really glad to part of that as they work with some really fantastic artists. You can see all the work here.

Just back from a week in Ireland - here's a few pages from my sketchbook, scenes from Dublin and County Meath. Pretty sure it's the first time I've drawn while sitting on a tyre inside a sheep pen.

As usual, please share with art-curious friends, and subscribe here if you're not already.
