Etchings inspired by Cambridge's Midsummer Fair. The funfair is dripping with tradition and history, as well as being brashly modern. It has a maximal and disorienting aesthetic . The sights and sounds have been incredibly fun to draw, and I incorporate characters and imagery real, mythical and imagined in my etchings. The suspicion and fear with which the Midsummer Fair is regarded by the good people of Cambridge heightens my fascination with it.
